(by Andre Rabelo)
Actually, the photo is by street photography master Henri Cartier-Bresson. And that is well documented by Andre Rabelo on his Flickr site. Story behind this image? It was submitted to the “deleteme” pool where self-proclaimed photography professionals help you decide whether to keep or delete the image.
“Photogs by numbers”, those that stick to the rules like a drunk to a lamp post - not for illumination, but for support - voted overwhelmingly to have it deleted. Moral of the story? Stick to your own gut feel. Great (street) photos have character in spades. Crappy (street) photos stick to “rules”.
Sometimes it pays to credit the right author - something Andre did.
